2024-2025 Events Schedule 

Gift Wrapping Service Event

Accounting Association and Beta Alpha Psi will be hosting a service event on Monday, December 2nd from 4-6 PM in SB2 117. In the spirit of giving, we will be collecting donations for Helping Hands and wrapping those gifts!

This event will count towards the 8 hours of community service requirement needed to become a recognized BAP member as well as for returning BAP members the 2-hour requirement.

Helping Hands Donations Booth

Accounting Association and Beta Alpha Psi will be hosting a Helping Hands Donation Booth on Monday, December 2nd from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. 

You can donate toys, clothes, or gift cards which will all go to a family in need that Professor Chao is working with! 

​For this event, donating one item will count towards one hour of community service and a donation of three or more items will count for two hours.

Non-Accounting Association and non-Beta Alpha Psi members are granted entry to TWO events per quarter. After that, membership will be REQUIRED to attend these events. If you would like to become a member, please apply here:
RSVP Links will be released one week prior to each corresponding event so plan accordingly. Please note that all attendees, including members, must RSVP in advance.

Spring Banquet 2024
​

The annual Spring Banquet is one of our biggest events of the year meant to celebrate the year with students and professionals. This years theme is "Night on the Red Carpet".  Please join us for this opportunity to have dinner and network with the professionals from various firms.

The banquet will be held on Thursday, May 30th from 6:00 - 9:00 PM at the University Club with the theme being "Night on the Red Carpet!" The entrance fee for students is $20, but for those being sponsored by a firm, you will be exempt from payment given that you provide proof of email from your recruiter in the form below.

*Note: If you plan to be initiated as a BAP member this spring quarter, you must attend BAP Initiation on May 30th from 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM at the University Club.

BAP x AA Scholarship


​Take advantage of this amazing opportunity to receive a scholarship for your membership in BAP and AA! Below are requirements to be eligible for the scholarship and the application:
  • Application due Wednesday, May 15th
  • Must be a BAP or AA member
  • Must have recruited with accounting firms in the past year
  • Must fill out the application and answer the two essay prompts in its entirety
  • Scholarship winners must attend Spring Banquet on May 30th to receive the award
Deadline to register is WEDNESDAY, MAY 15

  • Career Fair - Meet the Firms is a career fair style event for UCI students interested in a career path in the accounting industry. Students will have a chance to meet and network with recruiters and professionals from a wide range of companies from the Big 4, mid-tier/regional, local and government organizations.
 
  • Alumni Panel - We are excited to invite our alumni to share about their experiences in accounting and future career goals. Learn about the different firms and service lines, post-college routes, work-life balance, and more!
 
  • Organization Kickoff - Learn about our accounting organizations here at UCI and what we do. Hear about the recruitment seasons and other activities we have in store for the year. Students have the opportunity to chat with our board and meet other members!​​

Fall ​


​Welcome back! Join us as we start off with our Fall Kick-Off and introduce who we are and our exciting events planned out. We host a plethora of speaking engagements before leading up to our biggest recruitment event of the year, Meet the Firms, an annual evening featuring dozens of distinguished firms. The event is a great opportunity to introduce yourself, network, and seek full-time and internship opportunities. 

Winter


​The new calendar year brings along a new recruiting season. Geared toward first- and second- year students, our events are centered around learning about firms' summer leadership programs. Our biggest event RISE, or Recruitment Information for Summer Experiences, is an event similar to Meet the Firms while Accounting Fest allows for intimate networking in a more casual environment hosted in our very own Merage Courtyard. 

Spring


​As the year arrives at its last few months, we continue to host speaking engagements to further enrich our community with knowledge in accounting firms and resources. Our biggest event of the year is Spring Banquet, a fun and formal night in which we celebrate students' achievements while hosting more opportunities to network with professionals over dinner. Scholarship recipients and the new board are also recognized.
